Role
Illustration + Character Design + Art Direction
I teamed up with the awesome team at Shortfuse to illustrate a video for SIBS ESG that shows how they can help companies overcome sustainability challenges.
And as usual, the Shortfuse team totally knocked the animation out of the park on these scenes I illustrated. You can watch the full video on SIBS ESG's YouTube channel.
The Challenge
To create illustrations that not only showed off SIBS’s features, but also genuinely motivated companies to improve their ESG practices, making sustainability challenges look totally achievable.
The Solution
I carefully crafted illustrations that mixed the client's color palette with friendly characters and easy-to-understand visuals designed to inspire businesses to boost their environmental efforts.
Deliverables
~ Full visual development from initial concept to final illustrations
~ Original character and environment designs
~ Storyboard + Styleboard
~ Illustration files prepared and optimized for animation
Visual Approach
So, how do you make sustainability reporting feel less boring and more like a massive opportunity? Simple! I created clean, minimalist designs, but the real magic was in the simplicity and the details.
I based the visuals on a super limited color palette for elegance, and made them pop by contrasting bold lines against solid shapes for a rich and highly contrasted look.
Simple, expressive characters (no eyes needed!) were key, and I ruthlessly simplified software screens to ensure crystal clarity.
The final touch? Small particle details were added to boost the animation's energy.
Every illustration was a fun, motivating push to guarantee companies saw their ESG journey as a total breeze: simple, clear, and totally inviting.
