Role
Animation
I had the absolute pleasure of teaming up with the incredibly creative people at No Ideas No Art to animate the main title sequence for the TV series A Travessia, directed by Fernando Vendrell.
This show tells one of those truly epic stories about the first transatlantic flight by Sacadura Cabral and Gago Coutinho, linking Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro a century ago.

Big thanks to No Ideas No Art and Cinara Pisco! It was a fun challenge to bring this adventure to life! You can watch the show on RTP PLAY
The Challenge
To animate a visually compelling main title sequence that immediately gets the audience into the show's adventurous and historical feel and celebrates the bold spirit of Cabral and Coutinho's transatlantic journey.
The Solution
I animated Cinara Pisco's detailed illustrations by playing with lights and transitions and timing each movement with the score to create a sequence that felt smooth, energetic, and easy to follow.

Deliverables
~ Full animated opening sequence
~ End credits sequence
Animation Approach
Everything began with Cinara's fantastic illustrations. What I really focused on was diving into every detail of those designs, making sure we kept that raw, textured style and all the cool subtle noise that makes them so unique.

I had some fun using lighting effects, blurs, and smooth motion to make the designs stand out, while the team credits take the viewer on a visual journey across the screen, just like Cabral and Coutinho navigating the Atlantic.
