I was lucky enough to team up with the truly incredible team at Adagietto on a crucial project for E-REDES: to create a much-needed awareness video focusing on a super serious topic, the practice of energy fraud and theft.

The Challenge
To create an animation that uses a lighthearted tone to explain the heavy topic of energy fraud, breaking down the risks and showing how to report anonymously across all platforms.
The Solution
I crafted a mix of two visual styles that team up perfectly, using characters as our friendly guides in the story to back up the key information shown on easy-to-read screens with clear icons.

Visual Approach
So, how did I approach creating an animation about energy fraud without it turning into a total downer? Luckily, the script did half the work, focusing on maximizing clarity and completely ditching overly dramatic tones right from the start.
Still, the biggest challenge was explaining seriously dangerous stuff without totally panicking the audience. We had to strike that tricky balance of keeping it friendly and casual while still keeping the information precise and legit.
I solved it by developing a visual mix of clean and minimal iconography on simple backgrounds to highlight the heavy technical details, and a cast of friendly characters to humanize the action and make the whole storytelling relatable.
Thanks to this sweet combo, the risks and anonymous reporting became super easy to understand, helping everyone build a safer community.
